Electrician Springfield: Western Corridor Electrical Services
Licensed electrician in Springfield, Springfield Lakes, Goodna, Camira, Redbank Plains and surrounding western suburbs. Same-day service, flat-rate pricing.
Springfield is one of the fastest-growing planned communities in Australia — and with fast growth comes a very specific electrical reality: new homes with new switchboards, but also established homes in Goodna, Camira, and Redbank that were built in a completely different era. We service the full Springfield–Ipswich corridor for all residential and commercial electrical work. If your suburb is somewhere between the Springfield Central station and the outskirts of Ipswich, we're already in your neighbourhood regularly.

New Homes vs Old Homes in the Springfield Corridor
The western corridor is unusual because you have two very different types of properties within a few kilometres of each other:
Springfield and Springfield Lakes — new builds from the 2000s onwards. These homes are generally compliant but often have undersized switchboards that weren't planned for an EV charger, ducted air con, and a home office and a teenage son who apparently runs a server farm from his bedroom. We regularly add circuits and upgrade switchboards in these estates.
Goodna, Camira, Redbank, and Riverview — established suburbs with homes ranging from the 1960s to the 1990s. Many have original switchboards that haven't been touched since installation. These are the ones that need attention most urgently.
EV Charging in the Springfield Area
The Springfield area has excellent public transport connections, but residents who commute by car — particularly to Brisbane CBD or Ipswich — are increasingly switching to EVs. Springfield is also a long enough drive from Brisbane that public charging isn't a practical daily option.
A dedicated home EV charger in Springfield typically costs $1,200–$2,100 installed (hardware + labour). Most Springfield Lakes homes can accommodate the installation without a switchboard upgrade. Goodna and Camira homes from the 1970s–1980s more often need a switchboard upgrade first — we'll confirm which situation you're in during the quote visit.
